Mastering Motion Tween: Creating Dynamic Animations with Just Two Drawings

Welcome to all of you, wherever you are. I am pleased to provide a modest explanation about one of the easiest methods of animation, which is motion tween, as the least you need is only two drawings, in order to move easily and unpretentiously, so let us learn how.

Get the software used from Here

The first thing we set out to do is to draw two poses, movement 1 and movement 2 and nothing more, and each drawing is in a separate frame, as we must have only two frames or frames, inking and coloring, and all parts of the body in the same layer as well.

You can draw more than two drawings, and follow the same steps to animate with two drawings

Now we add "peg" to our drawing, and using the tool that I specified for you in the image, you select the focal point, and it should be at the bottom.

It's time to animate with Motion Tween, follow along with me:

  • We click on the drawing, and the letter B, then add a key frame “K-Frame”.

  • Animation will start from Keyframe 2

  • It ends at K-frame 3

We choose the last K-frame designated for the first drawing, “number 2,” the letter B, and the Transform tool, and we drag the character downward, and then outward.

Then we move directly to the next keyframe, and choose the same options as before, and this time, we pull the character to the top, then to the inside.

At the last K-frame, we choose the option specified in the image, then this menu will appear to us. This will smooth out the movement when moving from one frame to another.

Here we are justified in copying and pasting the movement along the timeline, but in exactly the way shown in the picture, so it is only a return to the first drawing.

Copy the frames in the shown order.

Here is a video that explains the idea better, follow it carefully

The two-draw animation technique " motion tween " is also beneficial for the entire body

The same thing is possible with the entire body, but the pivot point must be at the lowest point of the body, and as shown here, the point is at the feet.

And since this character moves and extends his hands forward
