The advanced way to draw anime side face

First, and as we used to do together, my friends, is to draw a circle, in order to determine the size of the head, and of course it does not have to be perfect, it is sufficient to define only the initial shape

Now we draw the first straight line on the left side "if the character is looking to the left" and then four horizontal lines through which we define:

• Forehead front place

• Two lines for the eyes

• Chin line

And then a horizontal line from the opposite side of the direction the eyes look at, and from it we define:

• Ear line

Here, this is optional, but it will help you a lot in determining how far the nose is from the face, which is an oblique line, and it depends on the features of the anime character that you draw, and through which you will determine the distance between the tip of the nose and the face.

And with green or any color, we quickly draw the neck and the body "and they are not included in today's lesson" just for the sake of defining the drawing a little.

Now we will start the actual drawing, so follow along with me with pen and paper

1. The first line from the top is the place of the forehead, we draw it either straight or semi-curved, and both are correct.

2. Then we draw a slight hollow for the inside, which is where the eye is located

3. Next, we draw a line extending forward where the surface of the nose will be

Now we draw the bottom of the nose "or the place where the nostrils are"

And at the bottom, we add the chin, and we move it towards the top

Under the nose, we leave some space "and it is a cavity for the inside", and then we draw the upper lips. This is my method, and I drew it for you more clearly on the left of the picture. "You can draw in your own style as well."

Here we go directly to draw the lower lip, and it is slightly inward

From the features of the anime character that we draw, it seems that he is annoyed, so we will draw the mouth while it is down, or according to the psychological state of the character

For me, this is the most important step when we draw a person from the side, to be honest with you, so focus with me! And you'll see me repeat it throughout this lesson

It is a drawing of the separating place between the head and the neck, as they are not directly connected, rather there is a space between them, and this is what I tried to explain here.

So try as much as possible to draw it constantly, because it is the thing that separates between the perfect drawing and the weak one.

Here I added some explanatory writings about the drawing, so that my friends would make it easier for you to understand:

• The eye cavity is inward: which is a must, when we draw an anime character from the side

• The hare forward: What distinguishes anime characters from others is the forward-drawn nose and the pointed tip

• A slight curvature at the chin: sometimes the line is straight, but it is common for the chin to be a little curved inwards, and it is due to the features of the personality itself.

• Neck: As I explained earlier, it is the place separating the head from the neck

This is a picture closer to drawing the nose, I realize that it is not difficult, but I have always found it difficult in the past to draw the nose and mouth from the side, and I wished someone would explain it to me.

That is why I highlight to you some details that may seem easy to see, but are very important

The shape of the nose and lips of the anime from the side, I divided it for you as you can see, piece by piece, so that you can practice on it later

Here we will draw the hair, and notice that the character has two long bangs, and the bang in front of us is more wide and clear to the camera.

As for the far bang, it is less visible, and the face hides it somewhat

And in the circle that is colored yellow, there is the center of the hair from the front, and from it the rest of the strands of hair will start at the back. They all start from one place, to the whole head

Drawing the pupil is very easy, all we have to do is draw a half circle, it is wrong to draw a full circle when the anime character stares from the side.

All the steps are now completed, and the inking stage has come, and this is how the boy will look after all this!

Right & wrong

It is wrong to draw the mouth straight, this will not give your drawing any flow, but the character will look rude

Rather, we draw two lines, one of which is horizontal, and from which an inclined line extends downwards, or upwards if he is smiling!

In the anime world, the upper lips are forward and sharp as well, but if we draw them on top of each other, the shape will be unnatural.

And here we see together, as the chin is hollowed inwards in a simple way, and it is not straight

This is a drawing from one of my manga that I published. Look how I noticed the drawing of the chin, as the face on the right looks more natural, while the drawing on the left is undoubtedly wrong.

As the head seems to be attached directly to the neck, so how will the character speak later?
