Top Software I Use for Creating Stunning Anime Artworks
Hello my friends, in a new blog, I will share with you the programs that I use to make anime and cartoon films. There are some that I have been using for years, and there are some that I have added to my list, and thanks to them, I have been able to create the animations that you see on the website and channel, so let’s find out what they are.
Top Software I Use for Creating Stunning Anime Artworks
Word
The first program I start with is Word, where I write the idea or story in it, write the script for anime and manga, format the file, add numbering and formatting, and the thing that makes me attached to Word is that it corrects linguistic errors, and This is very essential, especially when it comes to the correct pronunciation of words during dubbing.
Here, for example, is an example of one of the anime episodes that our anime team, called “Arab Anime Makers,” worked on.
You see how I colored the names of the characters, in order to help the dubbers know their personality, and I numbered the shots, in order to help me know which shot I finished, or where I stopped, and also with regard to numbering the dubbing characters and backgrounds with the same shot number.
This is a very practical method, and makes it easier for the project team to work
Its features:
Writing the story and scenario, in the form of pages
Create a schedule and distribute the scenario
Design the story board for the episodes
Sketchup
I have always wanted to learn 3D design, but in a simplified way, and Sketchup provided me with this. I am now able to design the places where anime and manga characters exist, such as houses, schools, offices, hospitals, etc., instead of wasting time drawing all those backgrounds.
The nice thing is that it contains a large library of 3D models, through which I can collect the appropriate pieces in order to form rooms, kitchens, and many other things, and modify the colors and materials.
These are two images, the first of the design inside the program for Mamoun’s house from the anime “The Fire” produced by our team, and the second, of a shot in which the background appeared modified within one of the episodes.
Its features:
Design of houses and locations of anime characters
Adding and modifying textures, colors, and shading
Adding pieces from the library without having to design them from scratch
Clip Studio
Clip Studio Paint is one of the programs that was a turning point for me, as I started using it to design 3D backgrounds for anime.
I stopped drawing backgrounds a while ago, because the program contains many 3D pieces. All I do is add them to the project, choose the appropriate angle, and turn it into a ready-made anime drawing in seconds.
Its features:
Drawing anime characters professionally as a poster or cover for a work
Designing sketches for scenes
3D background design
Modify and improve graphics colors
Toon Boom Harmony
I have been using this wonderful program for more than a decade, ever since it was called Toon Boom Animate. Its tools were very simple, and I have not found anything better than it for designing animation. It contains everything that matters to artists.
The most important feature that I love about it is the animation bones, a tool that saves effort and time for all animators, as it helps in moving limbs, hair, and even clothes. All I have to do is draw the characters only once, and ride with them. Bones, and I just move.
And I should not forget to mention that it contains the traditional style of animation known as “frame by frame”.
Its features:
Animating characters with move bones
Draw and "rig" characters and save them in the library, in order to animate them without the need to draw
Provides traditional frame-by-frame animation
After effects
When I heard about this program, I always avoided it, because at first glance, it seemed difficult, but after I tried it, it turned out to be very easy, especially since it is known for creating the visual effects that we need in anime.
As you can see, the burning fire in the image below was made using After Effects, and I did not have to move it graphically. I only modified the options, and the program moved it through the settings only.
For example and not limited to, these backgrounds, the backgrounds of action and emotions that appear in every anime we see, were designed by After Effects, and the nice thing is that I did not have to move them frame by frame, but rather with simple steps, the backgrounds became available, and I highly recommend it
Its features:
Designing visual effects, such as speed lines, or action
Animating the elements of nature: such as fire, rain, lightning, etc
Adding the ending badge, which consists of a background and the names of the staff
Filmora
Of course, there are countless editing programs, and I have tried many over the years, and now I have started using Filmora, because it is easy. I do not like complexity when it comes to montage. Of course, it may not be the best, but it fulfills the purpose for anime makers, so I collect all anime clips in it. , added sound effects, and released the work.
Its features:
Ease of use of its tools
The presence of a library of sound effects
He made an intro for the anime by writing the title of the series at the beginning of the episode
Of course, there are more programs on the market, but I chose what I always use my" Top Software I Use for Creating Stunning Anime Artworks", and each of us has what we use. Download these programs, in order to begin your journey in the world of anime, and in order to create animations that simulate our reality, and if you have any If you have any questions or would like to receive links to the programs, contact me.
