Breaking Barriers: Anime Making Beyond Japanese Boundaries

Breaking Barriers: Anime Making Beyond Japanese Boundaries

I always had a question, “Is anime making only for Japanese?” Can we not design anime like them?

I recently passed a video in which some said, that no one should make anime except the Japanese, and here I felt some suspicion, because I am fond of this art, and I like to design animation inspired by the Japanese style.

And my personal answer is: Yes, we can, because they did not prevent anyone from using or imitating their art, and we did not see a fiery permit for one of the studios preventing people from reproducing anime and designing an animation from it. And they are not Japanese originally?

And I think that the studios in Japan do not mind that anyone from other countries uses their method of drawing or animation, and they may even be happy about that, especially since this art has crossed the limits and reached all countries around the globe, so that it often overwhelmed the American cartoon, Because the anime contains those charming characters, with broad eyes and silky hair, and beautiful features that may not be found in humans, and the unique animation, which distinguishes this art from others.

There is another type of drawing that we find in the European cartoon, an example of that is "Yolanda" which when I watched it while I was a teenager, I knew from the first moment that this series does not belong to America or Japan, and my intuition was in its place, so you may find a different style of animation, and drawing Simpler, and this is what distinguishes this cartoon from others.

Here is the point that I wanted to reach, that we will differ in our own way, and this is what is required, and we do not forget that there are differences between each style and the other, when we imitate the anime, we cannot no matter how we try to copy it itself, but rather we will come up with something different in drawing, especially Animation, for example the American cartoon, animation in it more than the Japanese, so the characters in the cartoon move as long as they speak, unlike the anime, in which the character performs only one movement while she speaks and remains static for the rest of the time "and this is common" except in scenes that require More movement.

We must bring our unique style of animation, which enables the audience to recognize us by just seeing one scene, even if we imitate the Japanese art loved by everyone.
